CLTC-Related Disorder Alliance
What is CLTC-Related Disorder (CLTC-RD)?
CLTC-Related Disorder (CLTC-RD) is a rare disease caused by a mutation to the CLTC gene. This disorder affects multiple systems as the associated protein, Clathrin, plays a crucial role in the development and function of all cells of the body. CLTC is also referred to as CLTC Related Intellectual Disability (CLTCR-ID) in Europe.
What is the CRDA?
The CLTC-Related Disorder Alliance (CRDA) was founded in 2022 with a mission of spreading awareness of CLTC-RD, advocating for readily available diagnostic testing, and working towards treatment options. The CLTC-Related Disorder Alliance is a US based Unincorporated Nonprofit Association.
Our initial goal is to increase awareness of the disorder and to serve as a resource clearinghouse for families and the public at large.
While little is known and the cases are rare, we believe that all disorders deserve a voice - a chance to be recognized and researched.
The CRDA is actively seeking individuals who wish to contribute their time, energy, and ideas to helping spread awareness of this disorder.
